Special Issue: Sociology of Culture in Education and Society

The International Journal of Cognitive Research in Science, Engineering and Education (IJCRSEE) invites original research papers for a special issue dedicated to Sociology of Culture, with a particular focus on the cultural dimensions of education and contemporary social processes.

This special issue aims to explore culture as a central sociological category, examining how cultural practices, values, identities, symbols, and power relations shape educational systems, social interactions, and institutional frameworks in diverse social contexts.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

• Sociology of culture and education

• Cultural identity, symbolic interaction, and social reproduction

• Cultural capital, habitus, and educational inequality

• Discourse, power, and ideology in educational and social institutions

• Media, digital culture, and sociocultural transformations

• Culture, globalization, migration, and intercultural education

• Cultural dimensions of educational policy and curriculum

• Comparative and cross-cultural sociological studies

Methodological approaches:
Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies are welcome, including discourse analysis, ethnographic approaches, comparative studies, and theoretically grounded empirical research.
